BETWEEN THE LANGHE AND THE ROERO REGIONS

Experience the area

Hills and vineyards leave space to castles and historical villages: this is the landscape that the Langhe's visitors can enjoy. It is impossible to think about our area without considering our gastronomy. Various vineyards follow one another in the Langhe region: Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto are amongst the most important wines produced here. Not to mention the Alba White Truffle, the production of the Tonda Gentile Hazelnut and the D.O.P. certified cheese. Many outdoor activities are also available to Nature lovers.

DEDALO MONTALI MUSEUM

Art Lovers can visit the Dedalo Montali Museum on request. Modern and religious art join together in this unique collection in the local and national artistic panorama. The museum is housed in the 'Chiesa dell'Immacolata' and the Chapel within 'La Residenza' Hospice.

HIKING

Hidden and suggestive places can be discovered in the area by hiking through the various trails that can be chosen according to their level of difficulty. Maps showing the hiking trails can be bought at the Ente Turismo (Tourism Office) in Alba. The maps show the available Mountain bike and e-bike routes too.

WINERIES AND FARMS TOURS

The Langhe and Roero region is definitely one of the most renowned lands worldwide for the production of great wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo. Walking through the vineyards and wineries guided tours are must do activities for those who want to taste, learn about and buy the wines. Farms producing D.O.P. certified cheese or processing nuts can be visited too.

History, art and culture can be experienced by visiting castles in he nearby towns such as Grinzane Cavour, Serralunga D'Alba, Govone, Magliano Alfieri and Barbaresco with its Tower. Various panoramic viewpoints are present in the area to enjoy the fantastic landscape painted by the autumn warm colours, which will gradually fade through the winter snowy season.

THE TRUFFLE

The Alba White Truffle is an exquisite mushroom that can be found in the lands included in the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato areas. Truffle hunting simulations guided by expert truffle hunters (called 'Trifulau') can also be organised. The International White Truffle Fair, where culture, art and gastronomy meet, takes place in the autumn season.
